There’s something special about spring on the farm — the lighter evenings, the warmer days, and the sense of new beginnings.
As the countryside wakes up, we are looking forward to one of our favourite times of the farming year – the great cow release – when our girls get to frolic in the fields after a Winter of staying snug in the barn and enjoy fresh green pastures again which helps to produce their delicious, creamy organic milk.

New Seasonal Products and Flavours
Spring marks the start of milkshake season at The Cow Shed – keep your eyes peeled for some delicious new flavours in our integrated milkshake vending machine, where you will find our five core flavours – chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, banana and salted caramel, as well as a weekly special which gets updated every Friday.
Sustainability Spotlight: Reusing Your Glass Bottles
Here at The Oving Cow Shed, we love seeing how our customers reuse their eco-friendly glass milk bottles, not only for refilling their farm fresh milk but for other practical uses around the house and garden, including:
- Pantry storage
- Vases for wildflowers
- Iced coffee bottles
- Craft projects

Behind the Scenes at the Farm and Cow Shed
With cows returning to the fields and longer days setting in, spring is a lively time on the farm and as we head towards our peak season at the Cow Sheds. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes videos, including:

- The cows going back out to pasture (not to be missed!)

Spring Events
Mother’s Day pop-up shop – Carla’s Kitchen will be at the Oving Cow Shed on Saturday 14th March from 10am with a selection of her outstanding, freshly homemade cakes and bakes on offer.
Easter egg hunt – We are planning a family easter egg hunt on the farm with tractor & trailer rides, meet the cows, arts & crafts and of course, LOTS of chocolate!
Scarecrow Day – not to be missed! A much‑loved annual community event held in Oving, where the whole village comes alive with scarecrows, family activities, stalls, music and entertainment Saturday 9th May. There will be tractor & trailer rides from the Oving Cow Shed as well as lots of other fun activities.
